A Beginners Guide to GIS (101). This special workshop is designed for people new to GIS. We describe and discover what GIS is and how Geographic Information Systems work. Topics include architecture, geospatial reference systems, databases, and a sneak peak of various fun and powerful GIS capabilities using ArcGIS. This is a full-day workshop.
Prerequisites: familiarity with computers.
