The Idaho Geospatial Office (IGO) functions as part of ITS and works collaboratively with Federal, State, and Local government agencies, Tribal Nations, and private organizations to improve the acquisition, visibility, value, and use of geospatial data throughout the state of Idaho. The mission of the Idaho Geospatial Office is to provide centralized leadership, support, technology and services resources, standards, training, and to coordinate GIS activities for the Idaho GIS community.

State agencies in Idaho can contact the Idaho Geospatial Office for GIS services related to software licenses, training, assistance and consulting.

The Idaho Map is an interactive platform developed by the IGO to centralize access to official, authoritative statewide geospatial data. Designed to support mapping, analysis, and informed decision-making across sectors, it is continually enriched by the Technical Working Groups under the Idaho Geospatial Council (IGC), who ensure datasets meet rigorous standards and nomination criteria. The Idaho Geospatial Clearinghouse, called Inside Idaho, is the GIS data portal created and managed by the University of Idaho for all GIS open data in the state. Authoritative GIS information created by Idaho State agencies can be accessed through our Open Data Hub.
