Working with LiDAR in ArcGIS Pro – ISU Workshop

This full day course teaches the fundamentals of lidar, its data structure, and data standards. Participants will learn how to download lidar data from the Idaho Lidar Consortium and the ISU GIS TReC Lidar Web Viewer. With data in hand the participant will build an LAS dataset in ArcGIS Pro, learn how to classify point returns, and create a bare earth raster image.

Students completing this workshop remotely need to have an adequate computer workstation and good Internet connectivity.

Prerequisites: Good computer skills and familiarity with ArcGIS Pro software.

Intended audience: GIS professionals, students, and engineers who need to use lidar data effectively.
